Who can sell to us

You must be at least 18 and the legal owner of the vehicle, or legally authorized to sell it on the owner’s behalf. You agree to provide accurate, complete information about yourself and the vehicle.

Offers

• Offers are based on the information you provide, including condition, damage, missing parts, title status and location.
• Each offer states the amount and how long it is valid: 7 days from the date it is made, unless the offer states otherwise. Offers expire automatically at the end of that period.
• Requesting an offer is free and creates no obligation for either party until you accept it.
• We may decline to make an offer for any lawful reason, including vehicles outside our service area.

Pickup inspection and offer changes

At pickup, the driver confirms the vehicle matches your description. If it does, you are paid the accepted offer with no deductions for towing or paperwork.

If the vehicle differs materially — for example, missing major parts (engine, transmission, catalytic converter, wheels, battery), undisclosed damage, a different title status, or a different vehicle — we may revise the offer. You may decline the revised offer and cancel the sale without any charge.

Title, ownership and liens

• You confirm you have the legal right to sell the vehicle, free of undisclosed liens or claims.
• You agree to provide the title or the documents your state accepts, a valid photo ID, and any lien release.
• You will sign the documents required to transfer ownership to JunkStar.
• If a lien, theft report or ownership dispute is discovered, we may cancel the purchase or require the matter to be resolved first.

Payment

Payment is made by check at pickup, before the vehicle leaves, once the paperwork is signed. Title to the vehicle passes to JunkStar upon payment.

Before pickup

• Remove all personal belongings. We are not responsible for items left in the vehicle.
• Remove toll transponders and handle license plates as your state requires.
• Make sure the vehicle is accessible to a tow truck at the agreed location and time.
• After the sale, cancel insurance and file any release of liability your state requires.

Cancellation

You may cancel at any time before the vehicle is loaded, at no cost. If you are not present at the scheduled pickup or the vehicle cannot be accessed, we may reschedule or cancel the offer.

Use of the website

You may use the website for lawful purposes only. You may not submit false information, interfere with the site’s operation, scrape it at scale or attempt unauthorized access. Website content is owned by JunkStar and may not be reused without permission.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The website and general information on it (such as title guidance and value factors) are provided “as is” and are not legal or financial advice. To the fullest extent permitted by law, JunkStar is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, and our total liability relating to any transaction is limited to the amount of the accepted offer.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Duval County, Florida. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us at support@myjunkstar.com so we can try to resolve it informally.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. The version in effect when you accept an offer applies to that sale.
